Sarries Hit Brandon

The Women & Men hit Brandon on Saturday and showed our Saracen pride. The Women in their new Tanks and the Men in their Polo`s.

The Women picked up a Bonus Point in a 26-83 gutsy loss. The Women only had 14 players available and all 14 played a hard fought 80 minutes. Tries were scored by Halie Friesen, Katie Wilson, Andrea Boyd, and Aimee Finley. Clair Finnbogason went 3-4 kicking converts.

The Men fought a hard game and picked up two bonus points in a controversial 29-32 loss. Tries were scored by Adam Ellis, Rylee Nepinak Fontaine, Dylan Wilson, and Ryan Hesselbart. Colin Fraser converted 3 of 4 and also added a penalty kick. Coach Taylor named Adam Ellis Man of The Match.

The Women have a bye this week. The Men are in Steinbach at AD Penner Field at 8pm Wednesday June 15th.

Following the game the Barbarians graciously invited us to their rookie night. We entered our very own rookie Riley Laurans into their rookie contest and he made all Saracens proud by winning the rookie contest!!
